US rockstar Kid Rock was taken to hospital shortly before his scheduled appearance at the Download festival in the UK.
The singer's poor health forced him to cancel his performance minutes before going on stage. His spokesman told NME magazine that he had been suffering from cramps and dehydration thus requiring treatment.
The former husband of Pamela Anderson is currently promoting his new single All Summer Long in the UK. During an interview with the Guardian the Cowboy star revealed how he was coping with the headlines of the previous year.
Asked about the fight between him and Anderson's first spouse Tommy Lee at the MTV video music awards, he told the paper that there was no longer any animosity between the two.
"We're friends. We don't talk all the time but everything's good," he said.
The rocker also spoke about his rocky relationship with the Baywatch star, saying that he was afraid that the tabloid coverage would overshadow his music career.
Kid Rock added that he was not a fan of the party circuit, which his former wife is frequently photographed on, and stated that he would rather use his talents to make good music than be a "tabloid freak".
